Welcome to all our new members after fresher's fair!

Hope to see you flying at the airfield soon, and if you haven't joined yet come and see us on a tuesday in the ark at 7:30pm. Anyhow, who said the thermal season was over? We have had some more major achievements recently. Toby has completed his silver distance and the club was well represented at the National Junior Championships, with both Andy and Ian putting in good performances. Rachel Hine also flew at this competition in BGA 2-seaters, and from all accounts its well worth trying to get a place next year! (free flying with some of the best pilots in the country and parties with some of the worst dancers!). As if there weren't enough university members at Hus Bos, Tom Newham decided to join the party, completing his entire Silver in one flight. After 5 hours he landed very carefully, having kept on board some ballast which most people jettison through the DV panel! Also, news of our success has spread beyond the university- we soon hope to be offering flying bursaries from BAE systems to club members of all abilities. More details when we get them...
