New Committee, Move And More

Well, the AGM has come and gone, and we have a new committee to take the reins:

- Vice President: Henry Leach
- Secretary: Vicki Grainger
- Treasurer: Richard Thomas
- Flying Organiser: Luke Fothergill
- Aircraft / Safety Officer: James Fowkes
- Social Sec: Shona Blainey
- Publicity Officer: Rosie Homer
In other news, NUGC has had their first solo of the year - congratulations to Nick Selby who went solo on Monday 2nd May.
After 15 year with Four Counties Gliding Club, NUGC have announced that they are moving to Cranwell Gliding Club to continue its operations, when Four Counties are moved to RAF Wittering. RAF Wittering is too far to travel for our members, and it is a shame that this decision has had to be made. There will be a farewell BBQ at RAF Barkston Heath with Four Counties on Saturday 14 May. Anyone who is connected with the club or its past is invited to come along to celebrate the 15 great years the club has had with Four Counties.
Finally, we are still flying throughout the exams and the summer holidays, and it's NEVER too late to start flying - all new members are welcome as much as the regular ones. We have a few more people getting close to solo, and we may try and organise some evening flying soon to help this.
