Feb 2005 Update

Added on Tue 1st Feb 2005

Our trip to the Long Mynd was great fun!

3 of us went across on Wednesday, just in time for it to snow! Thursday wasn't flyable either so we went to the RAF museum at RAF Cosford, which was very enjoyable. We all got lots of flying in on Friday though, to sample the stunning views of Shropshire from the air!

On Friday night, 8 other members arrived for the weekend, and settled in with the excellent catering at the club. After a good night's sleep, we all woke up to do some flying on the Saturday - we got everyone flown, and everyone was happy. We then settled down for the 3 course meal which the catering staff had cooked for us (which was delicious!) and spent the evening in the bar. Sunday had a slow start, and many people went home early but flying did happen, and people got flights as long as 40 minutes on the ridge, and in wave.

All in all, a good holiday after exams!

If you missed out this time, don't worry - the Portmoak trip is in April, during the Easter holidays, so make sure you come along to that!

Also this month - I have gone aerotow solo (at last!) and Huw has converted to the Duo Discus.
