Having served his time as the understudy being Vice last year, Mark steps up to the plate and takes on the big office as President. For him, it means much of the same responsibility, with a shed load more flak to be taken in the process!

During the day Mark is a Mechanical Engineering student, bashing together dense tools. This makes him ideal for organising an average committee... Never a fan of bureaucracy, his favourite phrase is "let's make this quick, so we can get to the pub", so expect short, sharp and decisive committee meetings. Well, short...

In a Chuckle brother-esque moment of "to me, to you", Claudia and Mark swapped positions for this year's committee, and so she finds herself in the number two seat with all the power, and none of the responsibility!

Originally hailing from Germany, Claudia is now involved in something post-grad called Digital Economy Horizon. If that's not some global world domination conspiracy, we're all going to be highly disappointed!

We mentioned the war once, but we think we got away with it...

Joe has plenty of committee experience, having once been President. As for his experience as a Secretary, we're less sure about that, but it's a fair bet he looks pretty smoking in a set of heels and a pencil skirt. He's sure to set meetings alight with his loaded stares over the top of his glasses. However, he recently spent a year teaching French at machete point to children in the jungles of Guiana, so don't push him too hard on a point of contention in the minutes!

As Secretary it's Joe's job to accurately record everything that goes on at meetings. And beware, if his last set of minutes are anything to go by, he actually does! Expect blow by blow accounts!

Late last year NUGC sent up the Treasurer signal, lighting the clouds of Nottingham with a gigantic pound sign, and waited in hope for a financial saviour to appear in time for the next Committee elections. One man answered...

Guillermo graduated top of his class at the Chile School of Treasury, and has spent his years roaming the globe, offering financial management help, wherever it is needed. If you need fiscal advice, if no one else can add up, and if you can find him, maybe you can call... Guillermo!

When not swooping in to save damsels in monetary distress, Guillermo spends his days doing Management Studies, giving him all the terms he needs to be able to blag his way through important meetings, making him an excellent choice to explain where all our money went!

As Flying Organiser, Pete is the guy to whom you must beg for a place on the weekend's flying list. A breakdown of standard bribes will be available shortly, but a pint is the accepted minimum!

As a Civil Engineering student Pete is blessed with knowledge, but no practical skills, giving him an opinion on just about everything. We suggest nodding and mumbling your agreement, before going and asking someone else!

Michelle is originally from a famous city, filled with culture and famous landmarks. Paris...? Yes that's right, Hull! She has a penchant for coloured stripes in her hair, and hats, she loves the hats! In fact, all new members are invited to join in the club sweepstake on when next she will be seen without the hat. The current jackpot stands at £38.50 and has rolled over three weeks in a row...

As Aircraft and Equipment Officer, Michelle's job is to try and get tools and equipment off Mark for long enough to repair and maintain the various trailers, gliders and miscellaneous items the club owns. If you're handy with woodwork or glass fibre, you might just be her new best friend!

Charlotte is the clubs Social Queen, and is responsible for ensuring we all have as much fun as possible when not flying. Remember kids, there is a world outside the airfield! Her remit lies in a seemingly never ending stream of awesome BBQ's, epic parties and hilarious entertainment... have I built it up too much?

Finding normal History just too modern, Charlotte opted to study Ancient History, and so it may be a safe bet a toga party is coming your way! Although thinking about some of the club members, maybe that isn't such a good plan...

Fiona is by far the tallest person on the Committee this year, and also probably the most excited about it! If she can be kept off the Archers and lemonade for long enough, Fiona is the clubs chief publicist, shouting our good name to the rooftops, and making sure everyone knows that we're the best club around! Come to think of it, she might do that with the Archers too!

As a Politics student, Fiona's interest in committee participation is understandable. Sadly, we had to break the news to her gently that expenses from the AU won't cover her second home and repairs to her duck moat.
